Hi, I'm Maria, founder of Aria Pilates.

A few years ago, my husband and I moved from Miami to the Pacific Northwest to start a new chapter. Originally from Venezuela, I found myself rebuilding my life in a new place and searching for a purpose that truly inspired me.

I had practiced yoga and Pilates for years, but it wasn't until I moved here that I discovered what Pilates really is. I quickly realized it's so much more than a workout or a fitness trend. It's a lifelong practice that helps you build strength, improve mobility, and continue doing the things you love for years to come.

One of the moments that changed everything for me was seeing women decades older than me moving with incredible strength, confidence, and ease. It completely shifted the way I thought about aging. I realized growing older doesn't have to mean giving up the life you love. With the right movement, you can continue feeling strong, capable, and independent. That is the future I want for myself, and it's what I hope to help others achieve.

That passion led me to become a certified Pilates instructor, and eventually to create Aria Pilates.

I designed this studio to be more than a place to exercise. I wanted it to feel like a true third place, somewhere you genuinely look forward to visiting. Every detail, from the warm atmosphere to the intimate class size, was chosen with intention. By keeping our classes small, every client receives the personalized attention they deserve, and every instructor has the opportunity to truly see and support each person in the room.

To me, Pilates is about so much more than building a stronger body. It's about building a stronger, healthier life. Whether you're here to improve your strength, recover from an injury, move with less pain, or simply make time for yourself, I'm honored to be part of your journey and can't wait to welcome you to Aria Pilates.
